About The Artist
Jess Clark, known as Pickles, is a boundary-defying artist, muralist, educator and designer who transmutes her thirst for exploration, adventure and understanding in every brush stroke.
Her paintings, sculptures and murals draw on the real-life influences and experiences that drive her urge to create. She wields bright colors and vivid imagery to spark curiosity, juxtaposing the mundane with the fantastic. Clark’s works play on surrealism, spontaneity and abstraction and call out to the world to connect and interact.
Clark uses a variety of mediums from inks, found objects, clay and fluorescent paints in her provocative and playful pieces. She offers a thoughtful commentary on the human experience through her eyes and encourages spectators to question the world around them and explore new perspectives.
